About the Apartments
Balbínova 21/733 is a building of 9 spacious 100 m² apartments situated one block from the Museum metro station, in close proximity to Wenceslas Square and the Main Railway Station.
Each apartment features 5 bedrooms plus a fully equipped kitchen/living room. The five separate, generously sized double bedrooms measure 15, 14, 15, 14, and 17 m² respectively. Every bedroom includes a wardrobe, an elevated double bed, a single divan with under-bed storage or a settee, a writing desk, a bedside light, and Wi-Fi. The apartment also features a large entrance hall (16 m²), a spacious kitchen with a dining table (15 m²), and three bathrooms each with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Parquet flooring is fitted throughout. Some apartments have a sunny west-facing balcony. Windows face either the quiet inner courtyard or the street. UPC internet connection and Wi-Fi are included in the price.
Photos and a video tour of the apartments and all rooms are available on request.
Reservation Periods
Reservations are accepted for the following full periods only:
Reservations must cover one of the above full periods — either the full academic year or a full semester. Partial-month reservations cannot be accepted when students make individual room reservations. Students are welcome to form groups and reserve an entire apartment for a full semester by listing all future residents' names in the reservation.
Group Sharing Assistance
Students who do not already have a group may register individually, indicating their preferences regarding companions, nationality, gender, or field of study. We will then reply with possible contacts so that you can arrange to share an apartment. This process takes some time but produces a truly international mix — which is very much in the spirit of the EU Erasmus programme.
The summer period (July and August) is generally reserved for tourist stays, unless students specifically wish to remain — for example, internship students and trainees.
Scam & Fraud Prevention
There is no agency commission, as you deal directly with the owner. To protect against fraud, no deposit is required until you have inspected the premises in person upon arrival.
History
The building is located above the Museum and Main Railway Station, in the Vinohrady district — one of Prague's most sought-after residential neighbourhoods, developed from the 1860s onwards.
Reservation Conditions
The deposit is equal to two months' rent, payable in cash (EUR) upon or before arrival, and fully refunded upon departure.
House Rules
City Transport
The property is served by trams 11 and 13, and by Museum metro station, located at the intersection of lines A and C.
